Ten things you need to know for a life long bond between us.
Remember even though I may live 10-15 years; any separation from you will be painful for me.
Always give me a chance to understand. Never assume I understood the first time you ask.
Always place your trust in me, because I will never purposely let you down.
Please never take your frustrations out on me. I will always be there for you.
Don't get angry and lock me up for long periods of time. You have your job, friends, and other forms of entertainment: but I only have you.
Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget and continue to give you love.
When you come home from work or long trips, spend a few minutes with me because I miss you every time you go away.
If I am ill and need medical attention, I will show signs. Make sure you do not overlook them. I only have you to take me to the Vet.
Spend quality time with me at least once a week. We can take long walks together.
Also even though I don't understand all human words, I still like to hear your voice.
After a lot of my playful and youthful days have passed, take care of me when I get old, because you will get old too one day.
